This is a beautifully handcrafted beaded bracelet with an elaborate Victorian gold toned cameo inlaid with glass beads, all designed and crafted by the artist. Gypsy elements delicately show the wild side of this proper Victorian piece through delicate dangling feathers, shaped gold toned wire, and a gold toned “Bottle cap” styled cameo frame.
This fashion piece works for all styles, whether your in your beach shorts and blousy top, or your out to town garb! Make it yours, and make it work for YOUR style.
I wish you all a very Happy New Year!
Hello everybody! I back with a new piece! A steampunk “clockwork” fashion necklace with movable handcrafted clock hands made by your’s truly! This unique piece is handcrafted from clay, brass wire, glass beads, and includes a 16 inch brass – colored chain and lobster claw clasp. This is a “one of a kind” original piece of art entitled “Clockwork Sweetheart,” that adds class, sass, and flair!
I am extremely excited about this Art/fashion piece and finding it a new home! If you are interested please check out my Etsy shop! This link will bring you directly to it!

* “Clockwork Sweetheart” is intended to be an art/fashion piece, and is not an actual functioning clock/watch or time-telling device.
Another design I’ve finished called “The Victorian Sea Gem.” Victorian Style is making a comeback everyone, and I must say I have always been partial to that era myself 😉
This piece is done in the tradition Victorian draped chain style, with the chain in a matalic coal color to accentuate the vivid color of the authentic seashell found by myself while beach combing. The shell is accompanied by two pearlized chandelier teardrops, and two authentic pieces of rounded green malachite. To enhance the wild sea-life feeling, the seashell has been connected to the chain by two authentic matalic coal colored barrel swivels and safety clamps (items used for attaching lures and bobbers to fishing line). What else would a Victorian Mermaid make her jewelry from? she’s gotta be resourceful!
This mermaid piece has created quite a stir…I have several orders in the making! Each piece is original and unique because I use authentic items from the sea. Each shell has it’s own story to tell! It is time consuming because I am very selective of the shells, and makings I use. I have to make sure this piece tells the story it was intended to, as art should!
all original pieces will be signed by the artist.
If you have seen my Photography I assume you have noticed I am quite fond of the outdoors. However, despite the time i spend outside, I am naturally very fair skinned, being the Victorian Girl that I am 😉 (I should start carrying a parasol around with me). Usually upon doing any activity that requires extensive time outside I will wear sunscreen, however I cannot stand the smell of sunscreen, nor do I like the feel of it on my body. So yesterday I went out for a bit to relax before studying for my finals, and in the midst of enjoying the sunshine, I somehow fell asleep in the grass, on my tummy. The following day upon walking past my mirror in my birthday suit, I noticed that somehow I was wearing burlesque stockings that I did not put on. After taking a double take and touching the tights, I in fact realized that the burlesque tights were my tanned, and sun burnt skin. Of all my unusual sunburns I believe this was the most creative. (btw, I was wearing shorts when I got the tan). Now for my next artistic venture I will cut out little bows on adhesive paper, place them right along my tan line, and lay out in the sun once again. If anyone asks, they will be told that the entire endeavor was planned…
Great News! My College Choir will be performing Brahm’s Requiem at Carnegie Hall in New York this May! I’m so excited, I cannot even express how wonderful this opportunity is! During our time there, we will also see Wicked on Broadway (yet another dream come true!) This is proof that God truly listens to our prayers, and gives us our hearts desires. This has been such a constant encouragement for me, even through the roughest of times. Big and wonderful things are happening in my life at the opportune time, just as He has planned! And I know He will continue with these plans in my life. This trip and performance wont be the last big thing I do in my life, but the starter of many big and wonderful things that will happen with God’s help 🙂
So furthermore I would like to apologize for not updating TSOTS lately, but as you can see I have been quite busy lately. I have been especially busy rehearsing Brahm’s Requiem, which is 95 pages and 7 movements of German sheet music. Its definitely a challenge, but a life changing one that I am willing to take on!
We will receive a bit of free time for ourselves to visit restaurants and shops, so I’ve been doing a bit of research online, looking for shops in Manhattan that sell Victorian attire and goods (Because I’m a Victorian Girl at Heart! ❤ ) I know there is bound to be some (or maybe not and I’m just silly 😛 ) But there must be something for everyone in New York! Right?
So if anyone out there knows of a Victorian – type shop located in Manhattan, please drop me a note in the comments!
p.s. I promise to update my art soon!
Some art in progress, I still have a lot to do on it, but I’m really excited about it. Obviously this piece isn’t going to be realism or stylized realism, its going to be more of a stylized animation. These two characters have quite a story to tell, but I’ll wait to share that until it is complete 🙂 this piece is called “Within Each Other, We made a Home.” — ThissideoftheSea
